A little info about this class...
Welcome to an online guitar experience!
To get the most of out these lessons you will need to:
- Know the parts of your guitar such as the fretboard and how to use it, your string names and how they are numbered,
- Use basic technique, finger picking or with a plectrum – this doesn’t need to be perfect, but understand and be trying the basic principles behind walking fingers or plectrum work
- How to read very simple 6 line TAB, even if it’s only written on one string.
- Know your minim, crotchet and quaver lengths.
As your technique develops, with practice, you can learn how to read TAB chords and notation, enabling you to play some well-known songs and riffs. As with any instrument, you get out of it what you put in, so practice is key.
For safeguarding purposes, each Zoom lesson includes a brief registration at the beginning which requires children to have their webcam switched on. If your child would like to join lessons but is anxious about this, please get in touch, and we can arrange an alternate method of registration for them.
