Calling all Harry Potter Fans! Are you Harry Potter mad? Do you love it all, from Hogwarts to Hogsmeade? From Dumbledore’s deliberating to Snape’s shenanigans?
In this reading and writing course, we will use the stimulus of Harry Potter to write and comprehend texts. Each week, we will focus on a different aspect of English, from story writing to sentence structure and non-fiction. During the lessons, children will receive instruction, and then have time to apply this by completing short activities. There will be an optional activity for the children to choose from so that there is less pressure on the outcomes of the sessions.
Throughout the lessons, the children will have many opportunities to interact and share their work. There will also be opportunities for short Harry Potter themed games and quizzes to ensure that the learning doesn’t get too heavy.
There will be an optional learning activity set after each lesson.
For safeguarding purposes, each Zoom lesson includes a brief registration at the beginning which requires children to have their webcam switched on. If your child would like to join lessons but is anxious about this or needs to have their face covered during lessons for religious or any other reason please get in touch, and we can arrange an alternate method of registration for them.
