STEAM is a relatively new idea. It’s an approach to teaching and learning that seeks to inspire a curiosity and love of the arts and sciences in children. Instead of a single subject, STEAM incorporates five subjects and combines them into one exciting challenge.
SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, ARTS, AND MATHEMATICS
An important element of STEAM is starting with a challenge. Designing a solution. Testing, reflecting and improving. So if you love to invent, come and join us and watch your ideas come to life!
STEAM uses both sides of your brain. It allows you to be an artist while being an engineer, while working as a mathematician.. and also a scientist! All in one!
STEAM is hands-on – we will be designing and making most weeks.
A bucketful of imagination and sprinkle of creativity are essential for this class!
For safeguarding purposes, each Zoom lesson includes a brief registration at the beginning which requires children to have their webcam switched on. If your child would like to join lessons but is anxious about this or needs to have their face covered during lessons for religious or any other reason please get in touch, and we can arrange an alternate method of registration for them.
